Available Samsung AC types

Samsung manufactures several different types of air con styles including split systems and ducted systems, which are most popular in Sydney homes and businesses. Here’s a closer look at some of the features and options available for both types.

Split systems

Samsung AC currently offers four different models for split systems that include wall mounted and outdoor components. The biggest difference between the models is their cooling and heating capacities, which range from 2.5kW all the way up to 8.0kW. From there, it’s all about the cooling experience in the home itself.

Samsung’s Wind-Free models bring down temperatures fast without the feeling of cold air sweeping over you as you sit in the room. Special blades break up the airflow without compromising comfort. If filtering and function are more of a priority, consider the Geo AR and GEO+ lines, which include advanced filtering and can manage even wide-open living spaces.

Ducted systems

For a more integrated approach or to upgrade your existing system, ducted systems also offers a number of options for your property. Samsung manufactures both 1-Phase and 3-Phase ducted outdoor units, depending on your power supply and consumption needs. All models also use R32 refrigerant with lower Global Warming Potential than R410A.

The ducted outdoor 1-Phase model comes in capacities ranging from 2.6kW all the way up to 16.0kW and features a digital inverter. This model is also renowned for its quiet operation and low running costs.

The 3-Phase Samsung AC is not far behind, offering both R410A and R32 options. Designed for extremes in wide-ranging climate, the units are designed to operate between -20°C and 50°C, so you’ll never be without the heating or cooling you need.

Benefits of choosing a Samsung air conditioning

  • Reduced energy consumption with optimized blower
  • WiFi enabled units make management simple
  • Low ozone / environmental impact refrigerant options
  • Brushless Direct Current Compressors with reduced vibration

Getting up and running with your Samsung air conditioning

Once you make your selection, you’ll want your system up and running sooner than later. The good news is that many AC systems can be installed more quickly than you might think.

Split air conditioners usually take only a day to get up and running. Any delay in this timeline is likely because the installation team needs more time to access the space for the outdoor components. Electrical issues can also slow the process down, perhaps extending it to two days.

Brand new ducted systems can vary a bit more in installation timing depending on your current set-up. If you already have the ductwork in place and just need a new unit, the install is likely to take a full day. Brand new builds, which require fabrication and placement of the actual ductwork, can take much longer. For this, you’ll want a quote from a professional installer that includes a timeline.
